Decrepit Remains

I cast down your decrepit remains
bury them for nature's gain
Haunted eyes gaze after me
But I cannot set you free.

You sing a song below a hum
Accompanied by the death drum
Smells of earth and cold-damp-dark
In your eyes go out the spark

I say my hesitant "Goodbye"
Know that you'll never see me cry
and as I turn to walk away,
I see your fingers reach out the grave.

I saw NIN Sunday night. They were fucking awesome, of course. I don't know where they get the energy to tour for a year and a half and still have such an amazing stage presence.

In other news, I'm 18 now!
